Yesterday was family day at the FDNY training facility on Randall's Island. It was a very busy day and I wasn't able to get as many photographs of the buildings and architecture as I would have liked (most were of the men and their activities) but here are a few I was able to get. Although it doesn't apply to this week's assignment, I put in some of the "probies."

Wow... those poor men... it must have been really hot for them...
Starting from the top down, I might crop off the sky to allow the viewer to see into the structure of the building better
The ladder shot is very good for its contained space, you can edit for a bit more light or glow (don't over do it though) toward the center to make the shot livelier
The bottom two are good for their documentary value...
The ladder shot is nice and leaves a lot for the imagination.
the last shot is very very very good. takes your right in. it's very powerful.-lk08
I am completely impressed by the first smoking building shot. I have a few friends that I grew up with that are voulenteers in our home town and have gone to their trainings with them in New Haven on a few occasions. I also love the picture of all the firemen laying down, very dimensional!
I think Katie hit the nail on the head with her dimensional comment about the fireman. Nice shot.
I love the smoking building shot. The other pics are great as well but the smoking building sucks me right in.
