A Barrel and Blue

Hello Everyone-
This image was taken in Ireland in a small town near the Bunratty Castle in County Shannon (April/May 2008). The other backpackers I was traveling with were jet lagged, so I decided to make use of everyone elses "down time". I took a walk past the castle, found a small gate leading to what seemed to be a little pathway. It took me into a quaint little town, with hardly anyone around. I found herb gardens, and tool sheds, chickens, and of course pubs. When I saw this cottage though, the blue just struck me. I thought of trying to capture the entire cottage, but was so drawn to just this section of it. A barrel and the blue.

The gradient in the blue is so cool. Assuming that the wall was all one color and that was all created by the light.

The blue (my favorite color) almost looks like the ocean. Is the building all one shade of blue?

I would have never thought it was in Ireland unless you said it. (that's horrible coming from an Irish background myself). I would have thought the Caribbean somewhere.
