I grew up in a small town called Portland CT. When most people would ask where I grew up and I would tell them, “I grew up in Portland”. The first words out of everyone would be, “oh, Portland Oregon?” he, or she would say “Portland Maine?” No, none of the above and I would say Portland CT...Most people have never heard of Portland CT. Well, enough about me and let me tell you a little about the pictures that I took. I took some photos of buildings that were built of Brownstone, which was mined in Portland CT. Most of Wesleyan College was built from the brownstone that was taken from the Portland Quarries. I hope everyone enjoys the photos...
